I haven't done a reading roundup in so long, and I think it's because I hit a patch where I don't want to talk about books at proper length, with quotes and stuff -- this happens to me occasionally. 5. Tess Gerritsen, The Bone Garden -- I think this may actually be my favorite of her books I've read, not least because it features almost no Maura Isles. ( More, with REALLY MAJOR SPOILERS )

9. Joe Hill, Heart-Shaped Box -- I don't read horror-type stories very often, and I probably wouldn't've picked up this one if not for two things: a) loupnoir's rec and b) the blurbs on the back from Neil Gaiman and Kelly Link. I definitely enjoyed this book, and thought it was quite well written, but it did reinforce my assumption that ghost stories aren' ( Read more... )
